Evonik Degussa Chemical - Mapleton, IL

IPM Corp. is the total turnkey contractor for all lubrication at this facility. We are responsible for the inventory of lubricants and performance of the duties. We work closely with the Degussa maintenance repair people. Since implementing this program we have succeeded in making their jobs much easier and greatly reducing emergency repairs. We believe that’s what it’s all about - saving our customers money!

Carl Tolbert

Carl wears all the hats at Degussa - Supervisor, Lubricator, Inventory Control Specialist, Liaison Officer, and anything else that comes up. Carl says his biggest challenge is to not discipline himself too severely when something goes wrong. He gets a little nervous sometimes when he is tempted to fire himself, but so far someone from Degussa has always talked him out of it. He is a stern disciplinarian as well as an excellent employee!
